Scump Returning to Twitch

Twitch could be gaining one of the largest Call of Duty streamers in just a month’s time. OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty captain Seth ‘Scump” Abner has revealed that December 2016 will be his last month streaming on the MLG.tv platform.

Scump has not streamed on Twitch in over two years, transitioning over to MLG with the rest of the Call of Duty eSports scene back in 2014. Since then, there has been a mass exodus of sorts, with nearly all but one major player returning to Twitch: Scump.

The newest iteration of Call of Duty, Infinite Warfare, has been battling not only with other top eSports titles on Twitch for viewership but also against its brother-in-arms Modern Warfare: Remastered. The two games were packaged together for release in November. MW:R has certainly given the fans their needed taste of nostalgia, and the viewership on Twitch is a prime example.

With two Call of Duty eSports events taking place in December, Playstation Experience 2016, and MLG Las Vegas, Scump’s potential return to Twitch in January could lead to a huge viewership boost to Infinite Warfare heading into 2017.
