YouTube Gaming v1.5 adds chat overlay to full-screen videos, landscape orientation, watch history, a new easter egg, and more

It has been about six weeks since the last YouTube Gaming update rolled out, and it’s clear the developers have been keeping pretty busy on making changes. The latest update has quite a few improvements to be found throughout the app, not to mention at least one feature that might be considered pretty huge. Topping the list is a new live comment stream that overlays gameplay videos so you can see the action and watch the commentary at the same time. A few features have been moved to more convenient places, and a video history is now available. Finally, there’s a new easter egg, and it’s pretty awesome. For the first time, Amazon will stream Prime series on Twitch

The pilots will air for 24 hours on the video game streaming site.

Amazon’s new pilot shows will be released later this month, but for the first time ever they will also stream on Amazon’s video game streaming property, Twitch.

Twitch will finally crack down on Pokémon Go cheaters

Pokémon Go cheaters, beware streaming your gameplay.

It’s taken over three weeks, but Twitch is finally ready to enforce their own Terms of Service when it comes to Pokémon Go cheating.

Since the game’s release on July 6, Pokémon Go has become one of the more popular titles on the streaming video platform. The game, played on mobile phones, requires the player to travel to physical locations to catch the game’s title creatures, isn’t exactly the easiest thing to stream. Some players have attached a GoPro to their foreheads, streaming what they see as they walk around their town catching Pokémon. One streamer strapped a laptop to his back, complete with a mouse taped to his backpack strap, so he had enough power to stream on the go. Hitbox signs esports broadcast deals with ESL, DreamHack, and Wargaming

The Twitch competitor has seen growth in Russia and Brazil.

Streaming service Hitbox has signed a two-year deal with ESL for all of the tournament organizer’s esports content and exclusive Portuguese and Russian broadcast rights for DreamHack.

The Twitch competitor, which is growing in popularity in Russia and Brazil, also secured the rights to provide streaming for English, Russian, and Polish coverage of the World of Tanks grand final next weekend.
